    • Andrew – Workshop and Production Manager

Few things are more important to our workshop and production manager than ensuring his workshop team is happy – after all, a happy team equals a happy working environment.

Having joined the company as an apprentice back in 2004, Andrew gained his NVQ Diploma in 2007 and after also being awarded the prestigious 'Apprentice of the Year' title at Leeds College of Building, he went on to become a vital member of our team. Today – a decade after he first joined us – he’s our workshop manager and continues to thrive on the job satisfaction he gains from making exceptional and unique furniture. For Andrew, it’s about ensuring everything that leaves the workshop and showroom meets our high standards.

Involved with production here at KC, Andrew oversees the hard-working team in the workshop. In his spare time, he can be found on the cricket or football ground, or renovating his own house.

    • Steve berry
    • Stephen – Assistant Workshop and Production Manager

Joining the company in 2006, Stephen was a young talent hoping to make a mark in the furniture manufacturing industry. After gaining his NVQ Diploma back in 2009, Stephen has gone from strength to strength, proving himself as a vital part of the team and an accomplished woodworker and craftsmen. Also, a mere two years after our workshop manager Andrew Smith gained the prestigious 'Apprentice of the Year' title at Leeds
College of Building, Stephen scooped the very same accolade!

Now a senior member of our workshop, Stephen’s the dedicated assistant manager who keeps a watchful eye on the team’s daily duties alongside Andrew.

A rugby player in the hugely successful local Underbank Rangers rugby team, Stephen’s recently moved into his tenth year at KC Design House and loves the responsibility of the role.

    • Adam – Cabinet Maker

Adam joined us back in 2013 to carry out his second year bench joinery apprenticeship in house. He completed his third year and became a fully qualified member of our workshop in 2015.

Getting all the experience and knowledge he requires and knuckling down as part of our hard-working team, Adam makes units by hand, as well as crafting dovetail drawers, wine glass drawers and KC's renowned adult refreshment centres.

He’s been with us a couple of years now and loves the atmosphere of the workshop and the varying challenges the role brings. In his spare time, he can be found downing tools and kicking back and relaxing with his mates.

    • Jack – Apprentice Cabinet Maker

One of our newest recruits, Jack loves his role at KC Design House, describing it as a great environment to work in.

At college one day a week, he’s studying for his apprenticeship in bench joinery and learning the basics in our workshop. Doing everything from sanding and building units, to making sure the workshop is looking spic and span, you might also recognise Jack as one of the friendly faces amongst our delivery team.

Outside of work, Jack loves nothing more than catching up with his pals, heading down to the gym or keeping up with his long-time hobby of Thai boxing.
